So you’re curious about how I built this site?
Geek Alert
This page is highly technical; if you’re not curious, please move along.
Fundamentally, this site is built using Jekyll, which takes Markdown-flavored text files and various other components and assembles them into viable HTML pages.
The site content is hosted in a private GitHub repository and deployed/published automatically using a free Netlify account.
I’m using the following TypeKit fonts:
- Expo Sans Pro from TypeCulture
- FF Tisa Pro from FontFont
(Full disclosure: Yes, I’m an Adobe employee; this being a personal, vaguely-commercial project, I pay my own way on TypeKit.)
I’ve used the following off-the-shelf / open-source components:
Each of these have been heavily customized by me.
