Spring Break ’19 Days 13 and 14: Mount Fuji

This was a quick trip to Japan.

And, of course, a quick trip to Japan must include a ride on the famously-fast Shinkansen trains.

Next up … Kyoto Station, Kyoto, Japan

We left Kyoto and took the train as close as we could get to Mount Fuji. And then, being the adventurous driver that I am, we drove the hour or so from the train station to our resort near Mount Fuji.

And being the crazy photographer that I am, I awoke at 5am to capture sunrise at Mount Fuji. I was blessed with good weather that morning, and the resulting photo is the lead photo above.

After Ayla woke up a few hours later, we returned the car and resumed the train trip into Tokyo. (And we’ll save Tokyo for another post.)

Track log from the time says we were going 281 km/h / 175 mph. Fujieda, Shizuoka, Japan
